Graduates earn 1,245 degrees, certificates from Madisonville Community College


About 41.8 percent of the 1,245 degrees and certificates handed out by the Madisonville Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Madisonville conferred 365 certificates and 155 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training. Data shows the school gave out 180 certificates in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training, followed by 129 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and 118 certificates in Computer and Information Sciences, General.

The college enrolled 3,344 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
