Bardstown Nelson County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Name: GIANT Spring Break Adventure

Date: April 1, 2019 - April 6, 2019

Event Description:

This spring break, meet our Forest Giants! To welcome our newest residents and celebrate the wonder of nature, Bernheim is offering a week of daily drop-in activities and guided programs. Self-guided activities for exploring the arboretum and forest will also be available.

Don’t miss our mid-week concert at the Visitor Center featuring our very own Mr. Dan! Join him Wednesday afternoon for a nature song extravaganza. Sing, dance, and rock out to songs that celebrate the plants and animals of Bernheim.

MONDAY, APRIL 1 – FRIDAY, APRIL 5

Visitor Center

FREE

Registration not required for individuals or families. Groups of six or more should RSVP at least 48 hours in advance by contacting Dan Pascucci at dpascucci@bernheim.org or 502-955-8512.

DISCOVERY STATIONS

11 A.M. – 3 P.M.

Hands-on Discovery Stations, featuring a variety of plant, animal, and nature activities will be offered daily at the Visitor Center by Bernheim educators.

FIRE TOWER TOURS

11 A.M.-3 P.M.

Join a Bernheim educator to discover the forest from a bird’s-eye-view atop the historic Fire Tower. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

GUIDED NATURE HIKES

2-3 P.M.

Each afternoon, Bernheim educators will lead a guided hike beneath the budding forest canopy. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

NATURE CONCERT

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3

1-1:45 P.M.
