Graduates earn 631 degrees, certificates from Spalding University


About 39.5 percent of the 631 degrees and certificates handed out by Spalding University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Louisville conferred 127 bachelor's degrees and 114 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 82 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 79 master's degrees in occupational therapy/therapist and 45 bachelor's degrees in general health services/allied health/health sciences.

The university enrolled 2,071 students for 2017-18, including 1,250 in undergraduate programs and 821 in graduate programs.
