Flying Food Group has announced a partnership with ITA Airways to offer in-flight catering services for the airline's new flights operating between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport. The new route is scheduled to operate six times per week.

According to a press release from Flying Food Group, ITA’s service between Chicago O’Hare and Rome Fiumicino commenced on April 7. This route marks the sixth U.S. destination for ITA Airways, which also provides flights between Rome and other major U.S. airports including New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, Miami International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and San Francisco International Airport.

"We are thrilled to extend our cooperation with ITA Airways for this new location," said Nicolas Rondeau, Senior Sales and Marketing Management Executive at Flying Food Group. "Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional catering services that complement the outstanding service offered by ITA Airways, enriching the travel experience for passengers flying between Chicago and Rome."

As stated on the ITA Airways website, the airline is wholly owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. The airline began operations in late 2020 offering 59 routes servicing 44 destinations. It has set a goal to expand its reach to 74 destinations with 89 routes by 2025.

Flying Food Group was founded in 1983 by Sue Ling Gin and provides food catering services to major airlines such as Air France, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Swiss Air and TAP Air Portugal. The company maintains its headquarters in Chicago.
